With the addition of 12-speed drivetrains to the SRAM mountain bike family, the new Eagle AXS system brings an unparalleled level of personalization and control to wireless electronic shifting. Cross-country riders or anyone who likes hitting high speeds on the trails will love these convenient and lightweight components. Rather than using paddles to shift, the single touch, customizable pad controls your upshift, downshift, and dropper post. This provides ergonomic advantages and nearly eliminates mistakes while making gear changes faster than ever. The function of each button can be set up on the AXS App which is Bluetooth compatible and will track cog usage and your shift frequency.
In addition to the controller, this group comes with a SRAM Eagle AXS Drivetrain. This crankset has the same Q-factor as the DUB cranksets, keeping its powerful and efficient pedal stroke. The available chainlines for the Eagle AXS are 49, 52, and 56.5mm. A rainbow chain and cassette that holds a cog range of 10-50T are also featured. On the XX1 model, the chainrings come in 34T but can be switched out to suit your individual needs. To use this cutting-edge drivetrain, an XD driver body is required.
SRAM refers to the rear derailleur included in this group as “the brain of the AXS system.” Trimming it as setup eliminates chain rub for a nearly silent operation. This simultaneously improves the longevity of the drivetrain. This model features a smaller carbon cage which gives you 10mm more ground clearance in addition to a light weight to assist in top-notch climbing. With this derailleur, you will feel instantaneous gear changes at the touch of a button regardless of how fast you are moving. There is even a “secret sprint” button at the front of the controller so you can change gears flawlessly without changing your grip. XC riders always have to be ready to take off on an all-out sprint and your AXS group will make it easier than ever.
The SRAM XX1 Eagle AXS DUB Boost Mini Group is the perfect choice for a trail rider looking for the best performance in 12-speed electronic shifting. Boost technology opens up more room around the crankset and eliminates the need for a front derailleur. Boost provides increased wheel stiffness and durability, better handling, efficiency, wider and stiffer suspension pivots, more chainring options, and more tire clearance. From top to bottom, this durable and near-silent electronic groupset is a game-changer that is a dream for any technical trail rider.
